A must have

I’ve tested a lot of utilities but this one is great and the updates keep enhancing it to better and better.

You have a much better idea on the quality of the wifi signal received by your mac than if you rely on the Apple icon (which is a lot more optimistic than normal, haven’t you noticed ? You have 4 bars and you don’t have any traffic…). So you can know precisely where to put your router in order to have the best connection home.

Moreover, this great piece of software can tell you if the channel used for your wifi connection is used by many other routers in the neighborhood or not. And if so, it will advise you a channel less crowded to use.

This is simply the only software I couldn’t live without now that I know it (and no I’m not affiliated in any kind with the author…)
