WiFi Signal: Status Monitor App Reviews

The user interface looks beautiful and very functional. It has lots of options for cutomization. The only thing missing is the signal strenght of all the other channels so that I can be sure I am not having channel interference. It has a channel recommandation but it is hard to belive it without seeing the data. Thanks for making it free.

This App delivers all of the data required to trouble shoot and optimize WiFi networking. The GUI is inutiive which allowed me to master the tool “right out of the box” and solve my problems very quickly. The fact that it is inexpensive for what it does and looks great, are just an added bonus! Many thanks Mr. Granados :)

I am a college student and it was always annoying to see a “full signal” with the default wifi indicator but my internet was so slow. This is finally a utility that shows me what really is going on with the network at school and also a super quick check up on my home wifi network as well.

Simple and unobtrusive. Much better than Apples built-in signal-strength monitor at showing me *actual*, *meaningful* signal strength. Cant ask for much more than that.

This software is extremely helpful for internet or network troublshooting. The interface tells everything when you open the software, you can easily find the information what you are looking for when you have problmes. For me, I use this tool to check the channel conflict to avoid unnecessary problems with my neighbours. And also, you could use this tool to find out the best location of your wireless router. :)

Very easy to use. Sits in the menu bar- just click once to open; then click again to close. Accurate and easy to read info about strength of the Wifi signal you are getting in real time, so you can move your desktop and laptop around to get the best signal. Also recommends better channels if you have a lot of neighbors using your channel. Great display. Best one I’ve tried.

Awesome utility to help me figure out the best network at home to use. With networks on different Mhz, it’s nice to see at a glance which has the best sn ratio.

This app has been very useful for a quick look at wifi signal strength.

This is just such an elegant and useful utility that I am suprised Apple doesnt incorporate the functionality into OS X directly. My Macbook will never be without it.

This is a great app but it sometimes says change channel what does it mean and how do I do it

The app was really helpful, I was able to move my Wifi router and locate it in a better spot in my home.

I have been using WIFI Explorer for quite sometime, and just discovered WIFI Signal. Nice simple interface, easy to understand, is greate for a quick check of your WIFI singnal conditions. This utility provides a lot of information in a simple, easy to understand window. Now, if we just had the same utility available for use with iOS devices. Well worth the modest cost. It should be installed on all WIFI enabled Macs and iOS devices…I hope a iOS version is in the works… BC

Everything worked as noted. The only thing that I noticed is that the application crashes in Yosemite when I attempt to disable the ability to have it start on login. This forces me to remove it completely and re-install. Otherwise, it is a great app.

In 3 years,I have never came close to the 50mb/sec speeds that my ISP is supposed to deliver. But after downloading this app to my Mac and changing the channel my router usesbased on its recommendation, I’m hitting max speeds. I was almost ready to buy a new router before getting this free app.

I don’t always need WiFi Signal, but when I do, it has been immeasurably useful in helping me determine which Wi-Fi channel to choose, when there is more than one available. Its well-designed, sits in the menu bar of my computer, and seems very accurate. Recommended!

I have this app always on to display signal strength and connection speed. I dont need to use any other wifi app
